In light of the World Series of Poker , this week’s high stakes online poker action slowed down somewhat. Only a single player managed to break through a six figure profit margin, and only 1 player dropped more than six figures across all poker variants.

  • Cort “thecortster” Kibler-Melby was this week’s biggest winner.
  • Ravenswood13 posted the biggest loss for the week.

Resorts Plans to Bring Both PokerStars and Full Tilt Brands to New Jersey Market

NJ DGE “optimistic” license could be issued by this fall.

  • Resorts recently partnered with Sportech and NYX Gaming to provide online casino games.
  • However, its partnership with Rational Group remains in place, and the group still plans to offer both casino games and online poker using both PokerStars and Full Tilt brands once the appropriate licenses are in place.
  • David Rebuck, Director of the DGE, is quoted in the Press of Atlantic City as saying he is “optimistic Amaya could get approval for PokerStars by the fall.”

Loto-Québec in Early Stage Talks to License PokerStars

Amaya Gaming already has supplier agreements in place with the Canadian monopoly operator.

  • Although described as in their “infancy” Loto-Québec has begun discussions with Amaya Gaming which could result in PokerStars being legally licensed to offer online poker in Quebec.
  • Loto-Québec is licensed by the Quebec government, but the revenues from its own online poker and gambling site have been disappointing.
  • Their Espace-Jeux site offers poker on the Canadian Poker Network which uses Spielo G2 software.

Malware Detected in TwoPlusTwo Forum Archive Thread

Content from “known malware distributor” inserted into forum archive page, says Google.

  • A popular thread contained within the Two Plus Two Archives Forum is prompting a Malware Warning message when reached via the Google Chrome browser.
  • The issue seems to be isolated to specific pages within the Two Plus Two Archives Forum and is not appearing when threads or webpages are accessed in any of the site’s active content forums.
