GearPoker Leaves the Equity Poker Network
The first skin to leave EPN now has no network home.
- GearPoker and the Equity Poker Network (EPN) “have mutually agreed to go their separate ways.”
- The separation is effective on August 13, and it is unusual for such a move to take place without the poker room first lining up a new network to which it can migrate players.
- EPN has confirmed that all player payouts will be met.
PokerStars & Full Tilt May Launch in New Jersey in October
Unconfirmed sources report that regulatory approvals could be in place for an October 1 launch date.
- New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) regulatory approval could be imminent and a tentative launch date of October 1, for both PokerStars and Full Tilt, has been planned—according to Jennifer Newell at NJPokerOnline.
- Newell adds that the DGE “has not confirmed this information.”

There were a pair of other pros who were not retained at roughly the same time.
