UKGC Issues Player Fund Protection Policy, Rejects Insolvency Protection Measures

Segregate, report and inform are the key elements of the UKGC’s player fund protection policy which rejects compulsory insolvency protection measures.

  • After a 12 week consultation the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) has set out its position on it will regulate for the protection of player funds.
  • The Commission has decided to adopt a “less onerous” option and will require operators to maintain player funds in a bank account segregated from normal business operations.
