Sunday May 4 saw the first events of the new play money tournament series from PokerStars.
- This weekend saw the inauguration of the PokerStars PlaySCOOP.
- PlaySCOOP is a play money version of the SCOOP, also with 45 events, mirroring its real money sibling. It has two buy in levels for each event, low and high.
- Even though they are for play money, the tournaments levy 10% entry fees.
- Players without enough chips in their accounts can buy more, with prices starting at $1.99 for 350k chips running up to $199.99 for 165m chips.
“Casual Cash Game Tables” Extend partypoker’s Recreational Reach
Special tables for single-tablers to be introduced on May 6.
- partypoker is introducing another move in its recreational player strategy with the launch of Casual Cash Game tables.
- The tables will only be open to players who want to play on a single table.
- The tables will go live on May 6 and be marked in the lobby with a smiley icon. The new games will initially be limited to the dot-com site.
