Hundreds More Sites Blocked in Russian Online Gambling Crackdown

Blacklist in Russia expanded with the domains of big European operators.

  • Late last month, approximately 50 online gambling domains were added to the list.
  • Three weeks later, the list was substantially upgraded with 200 more sites.
  • Following the first wave of online gambling domains added to the Roskomnadzor, multiple poker rooms took steps back from the market.
  • In a statement issued to pokerfuse, a Rational Group representative said it would continue to serve the Russian market.

New ARJEL Boss: Online Poker “Fad” is Over

The economic crisis in France and the complexity of poker as a game are blamed for the poker market’s underperformance.

Gibraltar Fire Takes 75% Toll on partypoker Traffic

  • The fire at a Gibraltar power station on Saturday had a major impact on holiday weekend poker traffic for operators based on the “Rock”.
  • Cash game traffic statistics show that partypoker lost over 75% of its business on the day.
