I am excited to be attending the Mobile and Tablet Gambling Summit USA October 27-28 at Bally’s Atlantic City in New Jersey. Throughout the year the message at all the gaming conferences I have attended (iGNA, GiGse, G2E) is that mobile is where the industry is headed. You only have to look to Europe and see the success that mobile igaming has had there. It is nice to see an entire conference dedicated to mobile gaming. While walking the expo floor at G2E a majority of the vendors had mobile offerings, and looking at the agenda I see several of them represented on panels at this conference.

While many of the panelist are those that typically make the conference circuit I do see some different names and I am interested in hearing their insight. The keynote on Monday morning is being given by Senator Raymond Lesniak of New Jersey. I am looking forward to seeing what he has to say about the state of igaming in New Jersey. There appears to be two different views on its progress thus far, one that the market is underperforming and the other that this was expected and growth will occur as changes happen. I am hopeful that it is the latter and it is encouraging to see that New Jersey is taking an innovative approach with its message that skill-based gaming is welcome by providing a less difficult path to getting new games and technologies regulated.
