Barton Bill

US Representative Joe Barton has introduced The Internet Poker Freedom Act of 2015 which calls for regulation of online poker nationwide.

HR 2888 is Barton’s second attempt at federal online poker legislation in the last four years. Unlike RAWA, the proposed legislation respect states’ rights by allowing them to opt out if they so choose, but just like RAWA, the bill is viewed as nothing more than a symbolic gesture.
