UK

The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) has launched a review of the Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP) focusing on the first of its three licensing objectives, “to keep gambling free from crime and from being associated with crime.”

The UKGC issued a list of potential amendments to the LCCP and is asking operators and all other industry stakeholders to comment. Responses are required by December 30.

The consultation follows on from the implementation of the EU’s 4th anti-money laundering directive and a large part of the proposed amendments are to do with the reporting and vigilance procedures mandated by the directive.
