The 2015 Q4 report from regulator ARJEL continues to record the extraordinary influence of lottery sit and gos (SNGs) against a background of declining cash game revenues.

79% of all tournament revenues are now generated from SNGs, compared to 59% in Q1 of 2015. The report does not differentiate between lottery SNGs like the Winamax Expresso and standard SNGs, but reports from operators make it plain that the growth is down to the new format tournaments.

Total tournament entry fees for the fourth quarter of 2015 were €496 million, up 17% from the €424 million of the same period in 2014.
