According to a recent tweet from the official account of the Poker Players Alliance, the recently amended California online poker bill, SB 678, introduced earlier this year by California State Senator Lou Correa, will not be brought up before the end of the current session.

The bill, which is classified as an urgency bill, would need a 2/3 majority in both houses should it be brought up prior to the close of the session.

Instead, work on passing online poker legislation in California will continue over the fall recess. The current State Legislation session ends on September 13, 2013 and will resume on January 6, 2014.
