The iPoker Network’s IPOPS 4 (iPoker Online Poker Series) returns in April with a new twist for the network’s online participants—a “mini” series and a “major” series—running separately, echoing the shift toward tiered series already in place at competing networks.

Overall, the iPOPS 4 Series will offer $1.2 million in tournament guarantees, with 15 daily events running from April 21 through May 5, 2013.

IPOPS 4 begins with the “mini” part of the series, seven daily events with low buy-ins running April 21-27, catering to what the network describes as “casual players with limited bankrolls.” The first seven events of iPOPS 4 have buy-ins ranging from $2+0.20 to $100+9. Players at the final tables in each of the seven “mini” events will also receive a free entry in the iPOPS 4 main event (#8H) on May 5.

On April 28, and running through May 5, the “high” portion of the series begins, with tourneys offering generally higher buy-ins ranging from $20+2 all the way up to the $200+15 main event on May 5. The main event offers a $500,000 guarantee accounting for nearly half of the series’ total guarantees.

Satellites with buy-ins as low as eleven cents ($0.10+0.01) are already running on iPoker sites, and will continue being offered throughout the iPOPS series.

IPoker Network sites are led by Titan Poker, the network’s largest skin. Other iPoker sites include, but are not limited to, William Hill, Betfair, bet365, PaddyPowerPoker.com, MansionPoker, Poker770, BetClic and Everest Poker.

The iPoker network is currently the world’s third largest network, according to traffic-tracking site PokerScout, narrowly trailing PartyPoker for the #2 spot.
