PokerStars has announced a 20% reload bonus up to $100 ahead of the 2013 Spring Championship of Online Poker.
A regular promotion prior to PokerStars’ big spring tournament series, the reload bonus is now typically the only large deposit bonus offered during the year.
Players have until May 10 to deposit up to $500 with the bonus code “SCOOP2013.” Players will then have 30 days to clear the bonus, which is paid in $10 increments for every 200 VPPs earned.
This year’s $100 bonus is a significant reduction on last year’s: In 2012 a $500 deposit would have unlocked a $250 bonus. In 2011, it was a 50% bonus up to $200.
The SCOOP series runs from May 12-26 with 44 events this year, including the return of Zoom tournaments and several variations of the recently introduced 5-card Omaha, and a guaranteed prize pool of $40m.
The tournaments are split into three categories—low, medium and high—with buy-ins ranging from $5.50 for a low 6-max No-Limit Hold’em event up to $21,000 for the No-Limit Hold’em heads up “high roller.”
