The Hendon Mob Unveils Site Redesign
Key Takeaways
  • The most obvious of the site redesign is the decision to go with a more classic white background as opposed to its previous signature black design.
  • There is a new logo and more information and categories of data available including Tournament Spotlights, Hendon Mob Features and Most Viewed Players.

The Hendon Mob, home of the largest database of live tournament results, unveiled a new site design last week.

According to Alex Dreyfus of Zokay Entertainment, parent company of the Global Poker Index and recently-acquired Hendon Mob, the new design and featureset are part of a larger overall plan for The Hendon Mob.

“The revamp is just the facelift before big changes. Our goal is to expose every player and help them to be ranked and brag,” Dreyfus told pokerfuse.

“The Hendon Mob and GPI have 15 people dedicated to the operations of the data behind these companies.” Dreyfus continued. “We believe it is a significant investment that will allow the poker community to attract more coverage.”

The most obvious feature of the new site design is the shift to a more classic white background as opposed to its previous signature black design. There is also a new logo and more information and categories of data available, including “Tournament Spotlights,” “Hendon Mob Features” and “Most Viewed Players.”

Also added is an improved search feature, as well as the addition of some key stats, category rankings and ITM results added to the top of player profiles. The Hendon Mob will also now display the most followed players as well as the most popular players per year and month, dating back to 2008.

The redesign also allows for more prominent ad placement as it was announced last month that the Hendon Mob and Full Tilt Poker have entered into a new partnership deal.

The new redesign is but a “first step of a long journey with the goal of bringing additional benefits to the players,” Dreyfus added.
