888poker announced today that satellites are now running on its dot-com international online poker room to win a prize package to the World Series of Poker 2014 Main Event.

Players can start the journey through the satellite steps for as little as a one cent.

The prize package includes six nights’ accommodation at the Palazzo Hotel, $1500 in travel expenses, $500 in spending money and, of course, the $10,000 buyin to the Main Event. This year, there will be a first place prize of at least $10 million.

The choice of the Pallazio is a curious one, considering its owner, Sheldon Adelson, is one of the largest threats to continued liberalization of online gaming in the United States.

In total there are seven steps to win the prize package, and players can jump in at any stage—from a 1c buyin up to then final $1050-buyin Main Event qualifier.

Through a deal with WSOP-brand owners Caesars, 888 holds the rights to use the brand and traditionally runs the official satellites to its European player base each year.

For the first time in WSOP history, there are now regulated online poker rooms in the US. Caesars operates an online poker room in both Nevada and New Jersey, and will be running exclusive satellites in these markets in the build-up to July.
