A representative of partypoker New Jersey has announced that the company will be introducing a new “wait list solution” in the early part of 2015.

Players currently join cash game tables in the partypoker lobby, but if a table they want to play at is full, they must keep checking back to see if a seat has opened. There is no feature that would allow a player join a waiting list and be notified when a seat at that table becomes available.

Waiting lists are a common feature in online poker software today.

In May of this year, players began signing a pseudo-petition on the TwoPlusTwo poker forums in an effort to escalate their request to add the waiting list feature.

Then earlier this week, a company representative replied to the posts on the partypoker sponsored forum stating that it had been confirmed with the product team that a “wait list solution” to resolve the long-standing issue would be added soon.

Some players are skeptical that the use of the term “wait list solution” indicates that an actual waiting list may not be in store.

No additional details have been made available, and a representative from the company was unavailable to comment at the time of writing.
