PokerStars Team Pro Daniel Negreanu has reported that his email address and PokerStars account has been compromised.
According to a post from Negreanu on poker forum 2+2, someone gained access to his PokerStars account “KidPoker” whilst he was on a flight home. Observant posters reported suspicious play at $100/$200 NL HU and 6-max tables. According to high stakes hand-tracking site High Stakes DB, 400 hands were played and the “KidPoker” account lost over $46k.
“I was on an airplane home while this guy was joyriding my Stars account,” he wrote. “He hacked my email and I got that back, still figuring out what happened. When I have all the details I’ll share when it makes sense to.”
The forum post comes after a tweet yesterday afternoon when he arrived home, reporting that only his email account was hacked.
