Fast Poker Goes Live at Unibet

Fast Poker, another entry into the “fast fold” space first popularized by Zoom Poker and Rush Poker, is now live on Unibet. Currently only a browser-based version is available, but a downloadable client is reportedly in development. Operators Betsson and iGame are expected to launch on the Fast Poker network shortly.

The new product has been developed by online gaming developer Relax Gaming. Like the Instadeal Network, Fast Poker is a new network offering exclusively “fast-fold” games. As reported earlier this month, Relax Gaming has struck deals with three operators to bring the new network to an existing player base, with operators integrating the network on top of their traditional offering.

In Fast Poker, players get a fast fold button which folds the current hand and moves the player to another table. According to the PR, this means that each Fast Poker seat gets to play about 250 hands per hour. Players get the advantage of multi tabling, but can do it all within one window. Operators get more rake as more hands are played per hour. Relax Gaming touts that “the Fast Poker game should generate roughly 4 times the rake per casual player compared to traditional poker.”

Unibet is part of the MicroGaming network which has averaged 1500 concurrent players over the last 6 months with peak traffic up to 2500. Unibet’s browser-only Fast Poker tables are reported to have almost 200 players already. This is already looking like a good investment for the company which is listed on the Nasdaq OMX exchange in Stockholm. Unibet also offers poker in the regulated Italian and French markets through the Ongame network, though Fast Poker is not yet available for these Unibet customers.

Relax Gaming is licensed and regulated in Alderney and Malta and specializes in developing software for internet gambling, including casino and bingo products. Most of its workforce is based in Finland and Estonia.
