US Legislation in Play

Often considered not important enough to draw attention from legislators, online poker is currently at the center of many fronts in the US.

Not only did we see federal bills introduced last week both for and against online poker, but states looking to legalize the game (California and Pennsylvania) are seeing their efforts come to a head as legislative session deadlines approach.

Expect to see allies and foes come out publicly on the issue of online poker in the coming weeks, but do not expect much movement as it is still a long shot that any of the legislation surrounding online gaming makes it into law this year.
