With the support for RAWA once again seeming insufficient to become law, supporters are looking for creative ways to achieve their goals.

One such way, as reported on by Gambling Compliance, might be to temporarily disallow any more states from passing online gaming legislation until a federal study on the impact of internet gambling can be completed.

Though such a measure might be more politically palatable to some than an outright ban, it represents nothing more than an attempt to placate financial backers, and has very little chance of gaining serious consideration.
