PokerStars
PokerStars.com had had a great week from a marketing perspective.
First, the Dream Team Collection promotion created another PokerStars millionaire, after Ukrainian player “solik1968” won $1 million in the final all-in shootout tournament.
Then the Main Event of the 2015 WCOOP produced another three millionaires after a four way deal at the final table. This year’s series produced prize pools worth over $66 million, exceeding by $3 million the previous record set in 2010 when US players were still allowed to play.
The next flagship tournament comes almost immediately with the next edition of the $1 million guaranteed Red Spade Open running on Sunday, October 4. The event costs only $55 to enter. There’s $100,000 guaranteed to the winner and a $500 bounty on all of the PokerStars Team Pros who take part.
As an added incentive to bust Ike Haxton, he has offered the player who knocks him out a heads-up match and the chance to win another $1,000.
