Daily fantasy sports sites DraftKings and FanDuel find themselves in the middle of a full blown scandal following the revelation that a company employee at DraftKings with access to insider information won more than $350,000 at rival site FanDuel.

Accusations of insider trading permeated the mainstream media this week which resulted in the New York Attorney General launching a formal inquiry on Tuesday into both of the industry leaders.

As one might expect, ESPN covered the breaking news in depth, including a panel discussion on its investigative news program Outside the Lines. The all-sports channel also pulled its sponsored programming and in-show props related to DraftKings , but will reevaluate that decision on a day-by-day basis.

Though DraftKings and FanDuel insist no wrongdoing has taken place, they have temporarily banned their employees from playing daily fantasy sports for real money.

Further fallout is expected. Watch this space.
