Europe

Standardized online gambling regulation in Europe moved a step closer as 19 members of the European Economic Area (EEA) signed a cooperation agreement mediated by the EU Expert Group on online gambling.

The list of signatories has not yet been published, but for the countries which have agreed the future holds the prospect of greater coordination and mutual acceptance of standards.

Operators can expect the cost of compliance to reduce slowly as the agreement leads to common regulatory practises and procedures across the signatory nations.
