Romania

In October last year, Bet365’s Romanian license was voided by the regulator ONJN. Bet365 appealed the decision, but its appeal has failed.

In December, the company filed a criminal case against senior ONJN officials alleging “discriminatory and corrupt practices. Bet365 believes that the actions of the ONJN were designed to aid local competitors to secure market share in the company’s absence from the online sports betting market, where it claims to have had a 50% market share.

Bet365 plans to appeal the license decision, and its case against ONJN continues.
