Partypoker has announced new dates for the World Poker Tour (WPT) Online Series which is now slated to run on its platform starting next week on May 14.

The festival returns for the second year in a row in May and is headlined by the $3 million guaranteed Main Event, which will award a replica of the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup to the winner.

“The hallmark $3,000,000 guaranteed, $3,200 buy-in Main Event is complimented by an extensive range of exciting events such as the Mini Main Event and not one, but two of the world-renowned WPT500 events,” Chris Donnachie, partypoker’s Head of Poker Room Management, said in the press release.

One of the main reasons for the delayed festival is that the operator plans a software update to further reduce the effectiveness of third-party tools. As part of this update, all players on the global player pool will be required to change their alias ahead of the festival.
