GGPoker's new tournament format, the 100-man Battle Royale, ran 992 times from its launch on Thursday through the weekend, data from GGPoker provided to PRO reveal.

It means just under 100,000 players jumped into the new format over a period of just over three days, suggesting a strong early player response from the new format.

“The GGPoker community has taken to Dan’s Battle Royale game with even more enthusiasm than we hoped,” said Paul Burke, Head of PR at GGPoker in a statement to PRO.
