PokerStars’ new generous rewards program that was on trial for three months has been rolled out to include all players across the majority of markets.
The new PokerStars Rewards system offers players the chance to earn up to 65% back from rake paid in cash games and tournament fees—a significant improvement, particularly for high volume winning players, who under the previous system were returned as little as 2.5%.
The Chest mechanism remains as the primary vehicle for delivering rewards, but the prizes are now fixed and the required points to unlock each Chest are the same for everyone.
Blue Chests reward a fixed prize of 50 cents and Black, the highest tier, awards $250, no matter the player profile. Players earn the usual 100 reward points for every dollar or euro in rake generated across all game types and stakes.
This means that all players are now guaranteed a transparent rakeback equivalent of 15% to 25% cashback depending on their Chest tier. Additionally, some players also receive personalized monthly challenges that offer a further 10% to 40% in extra rewards.
