C5’s fifth annual Forum on US Online Gaming took place at Caesars Palace Las Vegas this past week. Lessons learned as well as what can be expected in the near future were hot topics at the conference. Industry expert Chris Grove attended the conference, live tweeted the highlights and posted his top four takeaways at OnlinePokerReport.com.

According to Grove, one of the most talked about topics was the competition online gaming companies face from non-gambling gaming providers such as the Zynga Poker. It was also noted that US authorities still have the legal online gambling sites on their radar, and that the bottleneck created by payment processors in the US may be starting to open up as new merchant codes are expected to be introduced for visa and MasterCard as early as spring 2015.
