After losing the race to buy bwin.party, 888’s Executive Chairman Brian Mattingley told the Financial Times that the company was still planning acquisitions.

“We will do practical and strategic acquisitions particularly to build our sport betting,” said Mattingley and he explained some of the rationale underlying the decision not to contest GVC’s final bid.
