Global streaming giant Twitch has announced a significant change to its policy amidst growing concerns over gambling streams on its platform.

The platform tweeted Tuesday morning that it will prohibit streaming of unregulated online casino websites that offer slots, roulette, or dice games that “aren’t licensed either in the US or other jurisdictions that provide sufficient consumer protection.”

The new policy, which comes into effect on October 18, will unlikely impact online poker as the platform has exempted games such as poker, fantasy sports, and sports betting from the ban — regardless of whether or not they are licensed.
