GGPoker has officially launched in the regulated market of Belgium. As previously announced, the site went live on Saturday, July 31, opening its door to Belgian players nearly two years after it pulled out of the market.

Although various online poker licenses have been issued in the past, only four online poker operators are currently active with GG becoming the latest after PokerStars, Entain/partypoker (under the bwin brand), and Unibet.

GGPoker in Belgium is operating under the domain ggpoker.be, sharing the player pool with the rest of the world. This means that for the first time Belgian players will be able to participate in the international leg of the WSOP 2021 Online Bracelet series, which kicked off last Sunday.

Belgian players have access to GG’s full slate of games including the newly launched variants such as Flip & Go and Battle Royale. However, no welcome bonuses are available due to local regulations, which restrict licensed online gambling operators to offer such bonuses.

“We’re happy to bring our poker product and innovation to the underserved Belgian market,” said Marco Trucco, Head of Europe of GGPoker, in a press release last month.
