The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has approved an agreement between Betfair and Caesars that will allow Betfair to continue in the New Jersey market.

Betfair’s partner, the Trump Plaza, closed on September 16. Without a bricks and mortar partner, Betfair would have been forced to quit the market under DGE licensing rules.

The DGE provided interim authorization for Betfair to stay in the market after Trump Plaza closed, but only until the end of the existing license approval.
