The next online poker festival awaits on partypoker with the first online edition of the World Cup of Cards (WCC).
First phase satellites have already wrapped up and the series is officially slated to take place from June 16 until July 11. It coincides with the dates of the UEFA Euro 2020, which kicks off a few days from now and concludes on July 11 as well.
While the full schedule has not been released yet, the festival will certainly feature two marquee tournaments. All eyes will be set on the $1,100 Main Event with four starting days and a prize pool of $1 million.
Furthermore, the bargain Grand Prix Knockout from June 16 to 24 comes with a price tag of $55 and boasts a $250k guarantee.
With live poker still on a hiatus in most countries, the WCC moves to the virtual arena for the first time. It was usually hosted as a live poker festival in cooperation with partypoker LIVE at the Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake, Canada.
The first edition took place back in 2016 whereas the fourth and last one to run so far was in late January and early February of 2020.
