Winamax has announced details surrounding the 31st outing of its flagship tournament festival, Winamax Series, which will kick off in early September with a record-breaking €23 million series guarantee.

This will be the third time it has run in 2021 and the fourth consecutive series where the guarantee has increased to set a new record high each time.

It will once again take the crown as the biggest online tournament series to run in the segregated European market of France and Spain, with Winamax beating its own record set earlier this year.

“The Winamax September Series will simply be the biggest series in the history of Winamax, with €23 million in guarantee,” Aurélien Guiglini, Winamax Head of Poker, told PRO.

“The Main Event will be keeping its hefty €4M guarantee, but there are now 4 other tournaments with at least a million guaranteed,” he added. “The €1,000 and €2,000 buy-in tournaments are now major tournaments with €1.5m and €1m guaranteed respectively thanks to hundreds of Expresso qualifiers.”

“It’s so rare to see so many recreational players at this buy-in level in online poker,” he went on to say.
