Christmas may be over, but the festive mood remains on WSOP’s real money online poker platform. After offering Michigan and Pennsylvania players a chance to win a seat to the WSOP 2023 Main Event earlier this month, the World Series of Poker has launched a similar promotion for New Jersey and Nevada players.
The tried-and-tested WINter Wonderland makes a return — this time not as a tournament series, but as a cash game promotion. The promo encourages cash game play by offering a chance to win an entry to the World Series of Poker 2023. All players have to do is earn at least 10 Action APPs.
The WINter Wonderland kicked off on Christmas and runs until January 1, so players still have a few more days to take part in this promotion.
- Up to $100 in free play with first deposit*
- Top-quality software
- Compete for WSOP bracelets & rings
Players earn loyalty points (which the network calls Action Player Points or APPs) for every raked hand they play. They also accumulate APPs each time they play in tournaments. These points are usually earned at the rate of two APPs per $1 of rake generated at the cash game tables or for each $1 in tournament fees paid.
With players receiving 2 APPs for every $1 rake — this means that they will need to wager $5 to have a chance to win the coveted seat. Once they have bet $5, they will receive a tournament ticket for an exclusive freeroll running on January 3, awarding the winner a $10,000 WSOP Main Event seat. The freeroll kicks off at 8:30 PM ET on January 3, and players must use the ticket to register before the tournament starts.
The winner of the $10,000 WSOP Main Event seat freeroll will receive $10,000 in buy-ins, which can be used to play any gold bracelet event at the upcoming 2023 World Series of Poker.
The 54th Annual World Series of Poker is scheduled to run from May 30 through July 18, 2023, at Paris Las Vegas and the Horseshoe Las Vegas (formerly Bally’s). So far, the operator has announced dates for a dozen events, including the prestigious $10,000 buy-in Main Event, which kicks off on July 3.

It comes for a buy-in of just $300 and is scheduled to run from June 7, promising $3 million guaranteed prize money. The other debutant event is the Ultra Stack — the buy-in for which has been set to $600. While no details are available yet on the event, based on its name, it is likely to be a super-deep stacked event.
The $10K Main will be preceded by the Mini version with a buy-in of $1000. It will run from July 2. The WSOP officials have also revealed dates for other marquee events such as the Seniors Championship, Millionaire Maker, Colossus, Ladies Championship, and the Closer.
