PokerStars Trials MTT with Spin & Go Structure
Key Takeaways
  • Dubbed the “Sunday 3D,” the new format featured 3-max tables and a rapid structure.
  • The prize pool, however, is not randomized.
  • Three different buy-in tiers missed their guarantees on Sunday.

PokerStars trialled a new tournament format over the weekend similar in structure to lottery sit and gos, the hugely popular new online poker variant.

Dubbed the “Sunday 3D,” the new format, running exclusively in France, featured 3-max tables and a rapid structure. Players started with just 500 chips and blinds incremented every three minutes.
