While the official start is not until Thursday, PokerStars’ Turbo Championship of Online Poker TCOOP is already well underway, with the first two phases of what is billed as the “first three-phase championship event in online poker history” running around the clock.

In phased or “flighted” tournaments, players begin by entering one of many “phase 1s,” scheduled at various times throughout the day. These first steps last a predefined number of blind levels, and all players that survive take their stack on to the next phase. If a player busts out, they can usually take another shot.
