Online poker is yet to make landfall in Illinois, despite horseracing and participating in the lottery are legal. The landscape in Illinois is quite stagnant with no real time line expected of when we can see online poker become legal.

In brighter news a bill to pass and legalize fantasy sports was introduced that would see the decision made in 2015 to outlaw fantasy sports overruled. The new bill is expected to be discussed by the House at some point in 2018. If the fantasy sports bill makes a U-turn and is allowed in the state this may fuel the fire under bringing online poker back to the Prairie State.

For those of you who can’t wait for online poker to become a reality but find yourself in Illinois here is a look at some the best land based Casinos in Illinois.
