New Player Bonuses and Incentives

No deposit bonus: $10 free money + $10 easy-to-clear bonus

If you want to try online poker in New Jersey without making a deposit, Borgata has one of the best offers in NJ: $10 cash free, plus another $10 bonus.

To claim your free money, just sign up and verify your account. $10 will be added to your account balance, and $10 will go in your bonus account. The free $10 you can use immediately to play any poker games you wish. The only stipulation is that you earn one rewards point to withdraw the bonus.

The other $10 is in the form of a poker bonus—you need to earn 40 iRPs for the bonus to be “released” into your main account. Once released, it is your money to play with or cash out.

Deposit match bonus: 100% up to $600

Borgata’s $600 first deposit match bonus isn’t the biggest offer around, but is among those with the best terms thanks to the low wagering requirement to release the bonus.

The only downside is you only have 45 days to do it, which is less than other sites—so you need to get your grind on!

One big plus is that as you play, you’ll also be working towards up the VIP ladder, giving you extra benifits.

VIP Program

Borgata’s iRewards VIP program is not the most lucrative, but most players should be able to get 8-10% cashback without too much difficulty. Add on the frequently generous promotions that Borgata runs each month, and high volume players will find a good home at Borgata.

How it works: In the My Borgata iRewards program, players accrue points, called iRPs, as they play in poker and casino games. At poker cash and tournaments, you earn 2 iRPs for every dollar paid in rake.

All players are automatically started on the entry level—Red Label—and as they earn more points they move up in tiers. There are four monthly tiers and one quarterly tier. iRPs can be spent in the store on various items, including instant cash, poker bonuses, satellite and tournament buy-ins, hotel stays, electronics, and more.

While instant cash is tempting, and casino trips and electronics may attract some, for most people the best deal in the store is cash bonuses. Though you have to play poker to “release” these bonuses, you also continue to accrue points for your next bonus, so this play is basically “free” for long-term players.

The table below and rakeback percentages are based on a player using points to buy these bonuses.
