Despite being title sponsors of the Mid-Stakes Poker Tour, reporters were denied access to the ninth stop in one of Adelson’s casinos.

  • The MSPT cites both PokerNews and the Venetian as partners of the tour on their website and the Main Event was scheduled to be covered on PokerNews.
  • Reporters ejected from casino because the site is affiliated with online poker.
  • The Las Vegas Sands owner has funded massive lobbying efforts to further his personal political agenda.

Ring Games Come to Full Tilt Mobile Apps

6 max NLHE and 6 Max PLO cash games now available on Android and iOS apps.

  • Full Tilt’s Rush mobile app went fully live in February, and now ring games have been added in both real money and play money formats.
  • The available structures are 6 max No Limit Hold’em and 6 max Pot Limit Omaha at real money stake levels from $0.01/$0.02 through to $5/$10. The play money equivalents are 1/2 to 250k/500k.

Former Payment Processor Daniel Tzvetkoff Avoids Additional Jail Time

Former Australian payment processor and Black Friday informant Daniel Tzvetkoff has been sentenced to time served and fined $13 million.

  • Tzvetkoff pled guilty to conspiracy and a single count of operating an illegal gambling business.
  • US District Judge Lewis Kaplan decided to comply with the pleas of Tzvetkoff’s lawyer, who argued that his client had already served sufficient time behind bars.

PokerStars WCOOP Main Event to Boast $10 Million Guaranteed Prize Pool

$40,000,000 will be guaranteed overall in the online championship series.

  • The PokerStars WCOOP has been one of the largest online poker tournament series available worldwide since its inception in 2002 and, along with its Spring sibling SCOOP, is the biggest online tourney series on the planet.
  • WCOOP tournaments usually number around 65, and have historically had buy-ins ranging from $100+9 to $5,000+200.
  • The May SCOOP series also had $40 million guaranteed across 135 events, with a spread of low, medium and high buy-in events.
