The Poker Podcast Directory has some great content this week. Some weeks are driven by interviews and others—like this one—are all about the discussions. Whether you agree with the viewpoints or just find them amusing, there are some very interesting conversations to check out.

The Rabbit Hunt has released its first episode of the New Year. Mark and Matt are taking the show in a new direction, and though they haven’t just scrapped the old format, they are looking to loosen things up a bit and cover a wider variety of topics. This week the guys tackle the topic of the future of online gaming in the US and they also have some fun with the ever-changing details surrounding the International Stadium Poker Tour.

This week on the Poker Advocacy, Rich Muny hosts a Poker Players Alliance round-table that includes PPA board members John Pappas, Linda Johnson, Greg Raymer and Patrick Fleming. The group discusses the state of online poker in the US from both a state and federal viewpoint. I found it very interesting to hear the board members provide their opinions on both the past and the future. If you think you know what the PPA “thinks,” you may be surprised by some of what you hear.

For an alternate view of the PPA, look no further than Poker Fraud Alert. Druff welcomes guest host Johnny Sep as the two voice their displeasure with the PPA. The discussion starts out at the 51:00 mark of the 4-hour show about an email that one of their loyal listeners received from the PPA. It then expands beyond the email into a critique of the PPA efforts. The guys also touch on the drama surrounding Gobboboy’s mom.

Occupy Poker is back with a new episode after an extended hiatus. JC and Jon are joined this week with Adam “Roothlus” Levy. The guys talk about the players that had a sick year in 2012 and the how the global expansion of live poker tournaments has affected players looking to travel the circuit. They also touch on the descent of the “gringos” and how the influx of poker players into Mexico in part prompted their departure. It’s an interesting conversation and definitely one I recommend.
