The worldwide poker player ranking website—Global Poker Index—has entered into a strategic alliance with online poker training website Ivey League in a combined effort to promote their brands as well as the game of poker.

The Ivey League plans to make its massive stable of Team Pros, including the current #1 GPI ranked player Dan Smith, available for interactive question and answer sessions on the online forums of The Hendon Mob, a GPI property.

The GPI plans to promote Ivey Poker services to the 100K+ registered users of GPI’s Facebook app, Fantasy Poker Manager offering special discounts and exclusive access to Ivey League Pros.

“Ivey League is a single source for all training needs. Our goal is to provide the tools necessary to increase the skill level of every poker player and to win.” said Ivey League founder Phil Ivey in the press release released Tuesday. “We look forward to working with the Global Poker Index as they are a leader in promoting poker as a sport/skill game.”

Alex Dreyfus, CEO of the Global Poker Index, is excited to be working with the 10-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner as well.

“We are elated to be working with the biggest name in the game of poker,” said Dreyfus. “We hope that this team will further highlight the game of poker and promote its players.”
