A report from Aiseiri which runs addiction treatment centres in Ireland shows that 25% of problem gambling is now internet related.

The report is based on a statistically small sample of 88 admissions to treatment centres between 2011 and 2013. Four of these patients were addicted to the National Lottery or scratch card lotteries.

The author, Paul Mullins, claimed that reported gambling problems had risen 250% since internet gambling became available.
