Three years after being outed as a cheater by 2+2 poster “feruell,” Darren “Dooshcom” Woods has pleaded guilty to nine counts of fraud.
Woods won his WSOP bracelet in the 2011 $2,500 Limit Hold’em – Six Handed event, and was appointed as a team pro by 888poker. His lifetime live tournament winnings are listed at $466k by the Hendon Mob, but he also has substantial online winnings at high stakes Limit Hold’em.
Woods’ father Morteza Gharoon also pleaded guilty to a charge of money laundering. Woods opened many accounts with several poker rooms, using aliases which he took from friends and family—sometimes without their knowledge.
