The 10th anniversary of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure kicks off Saturday with a monster event — the $100k buy-in Super High Roller 8-handed NLHE unlimited re-entry tournament.

“It looks like it’s going to be a big one, folks,” Brad Willis wrote on the PokerStars blog.

The 2013 PCA includes 41 events over 10 days, with buy-ins for NL turbo tournaments starting at $300.

The big buy-in event may not attract the largest field, but thousands are expected to descend on the Atlantis Resort and Casino on Paradise Island in the Bahamas for one of the biggest stops on the PokerStars live series from Saturday through January 14.

At least 30 players have signed up for the 3-day high roller event, including pros Phil Hellmuth, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, Jonathan Duhamel, Isaac Haxton, John Juanda, Eugene Katchalov, Tom Marchese, Jason Mercier, Daniel Negreanu, and Scott Seiver.

The $10k buy-in main event starts on Jan. 7 and lasts for a week, with PokerStars offering last longer deposit bonuses for choosing the team pro who goes the deepest.

This year’s PCA also features Open-Face Chinese Poker, a re-entry event slated for January 7. The game rapidly gained popularity in 2012, and PokerStars also is offering a tutorial seminar on Open-Face Chinese during the PCA, according to Lee Jones.

PokerStars included a few other non-hold’em tourneys in the series as well, such as the $1.1k buy-in “Triple Stud” – Razz, Stud, Stud 8, with a $25k guaranteed prize pool; the $1.1k buy-in H. O. R. S. E. event with a $25k guaranteed prize pool; the $1.1k buy-in, 8-handed PLO – Dealer’s Choice — 4/5 Cards; and the $1,025 buy-in PokerStars Zoom Challenge, with a $50k guaranteed prize pool.
