While the action is still ongoing in 888poker LIVE Bucharest, the operator in blue has previewed the next stop on the tour in Barcelona. Starting on May 8, the Barcelona games run through May 20 in the popular Spanish poker destination.
Among the series highlights is the Main Event priced at the familiar €888 after a reduced buy-in €560 Main in Bucharest. Day 1 flights for the Barcelona Main start on May 16 with four chances to bag a stack and the final flight, Day 1d Turbo, running on May 19.
Other highlights from the 888poker LIVE 2024 Barcelona schedule include the multi-day Opening Event starting May 9 at 5 pm as well as an €88 game in the evening. There is also a high roller for €2k starting on May 15 for players looking for bigger buy-ins.
At the other end of the scale, Ladies will be able to play on May 18 for just €55, the lowest-cost real-money game of the series. There are also a couple of bounty games in the mix, including a Mystery Bounty for €330 that kicks off on May 14.
Barcelona Gets Big Results for 888poker LIVE
The return to Barcelona marks a return to perhaps the biggest stop on the entire 888poker LIVE schedule. In 2019, before the COVID pandemic put a stop to live poker for more than a year, the Barcelona stop saw 551 entries come out for the Main Event to build a prize pool that beat the €550,000 guarantee.
After a two-year hiatus because of the shutdowns, the tour returned to the Catalonian capital in May 2022, seeing over 330 entries for the €1,100 Main. Last year, the series upped that ante with almost 370 entries for prizes of €354,240.
There is little doubt that Barcelona is a big stop for 888poker LIVE and 2024 looks to be no different.
Hit the Ground Running with The Opening Event
Series action at Casino Barcelona near the seafront kicks off on May 8 and among the early highlights is the Opening Event for €220. There are five flights to get into Day 2 of the game on May 12. The first flight for the Opening Event runs on May 9 after a €165 Super Knockout (€50 bounties) and an Opening Event satellite open the games on May 8.
May 9 also features one of the cheapest open shots at direct cash prizes in the series with The Mini Shot starting. The €88 game gets cards in the air at 7 pm and is scheduled as a one-day game likely to go into the wee hours of the morning.
Other games to watch out for in Barcelona include a multi-day Mystery Bounty with €150 to prizes and €150 to bounties starting on May 14, a PLO game on May 16, and the Ladies game on May 19. The Ladies are the ones playing for the least amount of money with just a €55 buy-in, but the Mini Shot and the Turbo Dash are both open events with buy-ins of €100 or less.

Qualify Live and Online
The live Barcelona schedule includes many chances to get into the games for less than the buy-in price.
