Two first time WSOP bracelet winners won yesterday; Ben Keeline (Oswego, IL) took down Event #2 $565 Colossus II No-Limit Hold’em and Lawrence Berg won Event #5: $1500 Dealers Choice 6-Handed.

Event #2 $565 Colossus II No-Limit Hold’em

In a tense head to head match against Czech Jiri Horak (who entered the final day of the Colossus in the chip lead with five million more chips than Keeline) the action went down to the wire, with both men thinking they had won the title after the River produced the Ace of Spades.

Both players headed to their supporters behind the rails to celebrate—Keeline fell to the floor and bathes in the glory of victory. Awkwardly, Horak didn’t initially realize that his two pair was no good and Keeline won with a spade flush—once the penny drops, he graciously walks to Keeline to congratulate him.

Horak finished in second place with a healthy prize of $618,000 but Keeline takes the crown along with the life changing $1,000,000.

Event #5: $1500 Dealers Choice 6-Handed

Lawrence Berg won his first ever WSOP bracelet in Event #5: $1500 Dealers Choice, talking home $125,466 after battling it out for 3 days against 389 entrants.

He ended up battling heads up against Chinese player Yueqi Zhu who was finally eliminated as the runner-up, collecting $77,526.
