At least 70 players have confirmed they will taking part in the main event of the Guangdong Asia Millions, and organizers are expecting over 100, Macau Business reports.
The new tournament, which we covered back in May when it was first announced, is an exclusive invite-only tournament with a HKD $1m (USD $130k) buy-in and two rebuys will be allowed.
The tournament is organized by PokerStars and the GuangDong Group, a Macau-based junket operator. Along with many of its members, PokerStars’ pro Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier will play, as will FTP Pro Gus Hansen, Erik Seidel, Greg Merson and Jonathan Duhamel.
