PokerStars Raises Over $100k For Typhoon Victims, Continues To Match Donations

The relief effort for those in the Philippines suffering the effects of Super Typhoon Haiyan has accelerated with PokerStars announcing that they have raised over $100k in just over 48 hours.

As previously reported, the Rational Group, the parent company of both PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, has opened multiple channels in the PokerStars software client to make it easy for players to assist the over 650,000 displaced people and the surviving family members of the over 2,500 killed.

Donations are continuing to be accepted and are still very needed. For every amount donated by players within the PokerStars client, the Rational Group, through their corporate giving program Helping Hands, will match dollar for dollar.
