WSOP NV & NJ Get Revamped Sunday Major Schedule WSOP NV & NJ Get Revamped Sunday Major Schedule

WSOP has introduced a revamped Sunday MTT schedule on its shared liquidity network across New Jersey, Nevada, and Delaware. This fresh schedule, now live as of this week, brings forth a more diverse range of tournaments and increased guaranteed prize pools.

Players can now anticipate over $340,000 in guaranteed prizes every Sunday, featuring over a dozen major tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $11 to $1000. These tournaments are scheduled consistently, running almost every half-hour from 3 PM EST to 11 PM EST.

This revamped Sunday schedule reflects a significant increase of nearly $100,000 compared to the previous structure, which guaranteed over $250,000 in Sunday tournaments. This development is particularly exciting for Nevada online poker players, given the region’s limited options for online poker rooms.

The highlight remains the Sunday Major, now boasting a $100,000 guarantee with a reduced $100 buy-in (down from $320). This adjustment means the tournament must now attract 1100 entries to avoid an overlay. The rest of the Sunday schedule features sub-$100 buy-ins, some offered at turbo speeds.

The Sunday High Roller 6-Max, with a $1000 buy-in, is now a regular Sunday offering instead of occurring only on the last Sunday of the month.

New additions to the schedule include the Sunday Deepstack with a $215 buy-in and $20,000 guarantee, a mini version with a $25 buy-in and $7500 guarantee, and a mini edition of the Sunday Major offering $10,000 for a buy-in of just $10, taking place half an hour after the $100k guaranteed Sunday Major.

Knockout and Omaha majors have been introduced, taking place later in the day with buy-ins starting from $33 and attractive guarantees. A standout event among knockouts is the Sunday Big Knockout, featuring a $25,000 guarantee for a $500 buy-in.

The schedule also features the traditional rebuy & add-on event, Sunday Madness, with an $11 entry fee and a guarantee of $11,111. To conclude the day, the faster-paced structured Sunday Saver runs with a $250 buy-in and a $20,000 guarantee, alongside a mini version with a $25 buy-in and a $5000 prize money guarantee.

The new schedule is complemented by freerolls and satellites occurring closer to the event’s start, including a Mega Satellite at 4:00 PM EST, guaranteeing 30 seats to the $100k Sunday Major for a buy-in of just $10.

There are now 18 major Sunday tournaments scheduled, guaranteeing a total prize pool of $344,111.

This marks WSOP’s first significant tournament schedule upgrade in nearly half a decade. The last major overhaul occurred in 2018 when WSOP connected its New Jersey player pool with Nevada and Delaware.

Whether this revamped Sunday tournament schedule hints at the expansion of WSOP’s shared liquidity network to include Michigan remains uncertain. Currently, WSOP has not indicated any such plans.

WSOP NJ and WSOP NV rely on 888poker’s old-generation software, while the Michigan platform utilizes 888’s modern software. Any potential merger would require WSOP to upgrade its software in New Jersey and Nevada before proceeding with shared liquidity plans.
