A month after inviting users to beta test their new Mac poker client, 888poker has today released it for public download.
The new client provides cash game and tournament access to the same games as the PC version. Features such as a favorites list and preferred seating have been mapped across, together with Mac quality 3D graphics.
Multi-tabling is possible up to the site’s normal limit of six tables, although some beta testers have criticized the font size for being too small. The same criticism has been levied at PartyPoker’s new software and Ultimate Poker’s latest update—so perhaps “small” Is the fashion for brand designers this year.

The new client has been in development for over six months. The 888poker IT team has been busy recently, with an upgrade to their mobile client which added multi-table tournament functionality and the creation of Snap Poker. 888poker is the only major site not to offer a fast fold poker variant—Snap Poker will fill that gap and the new game has just been put into alpha testing.
The new products come in areas which have become critical to success; mobile and fast fold poker. Having made it into the top three sites ranked by cash game traffic, 888poker has its eyes on the number two spot now occupied by iPoker.
